Past Continuous: Writing With/Against History

Friday 26 March 2021, 8pm-9pm
Livestreamed via Zoom
Pay what you feel (booking required)

In this online event join three writers who excavate the historical in their creative work.

After the Formalities by Anthony Anaxagorou is a razor sharp collection in which the scholarly synthesises with the streetwise, and global histories are told through the lens of one family.

This year Chris McCabe continues his search for the lost poets of London’s Magnificent Seven cemeteries with Buried Garden, based in Abney Park Cemetery.

JR Carpenter’s An Ocean of Static transforms the dense, fragmented archive of the North Atlantic into an astonishing sea of fresh new text.

The conversation will be chaired by creative producer and ‘cultural omnivore’ Georgia Attlesey and will feature readings from each writer.

This is an online event that will be conducted via Zoom.

Tickets are pay as you feel.
