It is 2030. Genetic screening has revealed Catie is predisposed to certain kinds of brain tumour. She acquiesces to a programme of regular brain scans, but when she misses an appointment problems arise with her health insurance and at work. Mike, meanwhile, has been put on a life-long course of drugs and behavioural therapies to prevent him from expressing the antisocial behaviour associated with psychopathy.
Come and immerse yourself in a multi-media performance exploring how genetics and brain scanning might influence our future, and join in a discussion with the experts.
The panelists:
Professor Judy Illes
Professor Jeffrey Rosen
Dr Christine Hauskeller
Chairperson:
Dr Mark Lythgoe
