Each session includes a range of new commissioned work alongside special guests &#8211; each performance resonating psychic echoes of technological ruptures and corporeal gasps, peering in at what lies beneath our circuit-boards and screens.<\/p>\n<p>For the final instalment of The EVP Sessions, avant-garde electronic music producer <strong>Aisha Devi <\/strong>performs ecstatic music on the cusp of technology and ritual; and poet\/theatre-maker<strong> Inua Ellams <\/strong>presents a haunting new spoken word performance in collaboration with sound artist<strong> Ain Bailey<\/strong>. Plus new work from game designer and theatre-maker <strong>Hannah Nicklin<\/strong>. Award-winning poet and spiritualist raconteur <strong>Ross Sutherland <\/strong>plays [g]host with a newly commissioned series of Truther-style video works.<\/p>\n<p>EVP is a collaboration between east London alternative literature producer Penned in the Margins and Liverpool arts innovators Mercy. She describes her latest EP as about \u201csluts, awareness, death, and women in a patriarchal society, enlightenment, violence, resistance, mothers, daughters, consciousness, Guy Debord, Vedas and eternity\u201d. Her work has been praised as \u201cweird and uncompromising\u201d by the Guardian.<\/p>\n<h2>Inua Ellams &#038; Ain Bailey<\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.pennedinthemargins.co.uk\/wp-content\/themes\/classic\/inua_sm.jpg\" align=\"right\" border=\"0\" style=\"border:1px; margin-left:10px;\" width=\"200\" height=\"150\"><br \/>\nBorn in Nigeria in 1984, Inua Ellams is an internationally touring poet, playwright, performer, graphic artist &#038; designer. He has published three pamphlets of poetry, his debut play The 14th Tale won a Fringe First Award and his third play Black T-Shirt Collection ran at England\u2019s National Theatre.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.pennedinthemargins.co.uk\/wp-content\/themes\/classic\/ain_sm.jpg\" align=\"right\" border=\"0\" style=\"border:1px; margin-left:10px;\" width=\"200\" height=\"150\"><br \/>\nAin Bailey is a sound artist and DJ. She is currently Leverhulme funded Artist in Residence at Birkbeck, University of London. Her compositions encompass diverse mediums, such as field recordings and found sounds, which are inspired by ideas and reflections on silence and absence, architectural urban spaces, and feminist activism.<\/p>\n<h2>Hannah Nicklin<\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.pennedinthemargins.co.uk\/wp-content\/themes\/classic\/nicklin_sm.jpg\" align=\"right\" border=\"0\" style=\"border:1px; margin-left:10px;\" width=\"200\" height=\"150\"><br \/>\nHannah Nicklin is a writer, game designer, academic, producer and artist working at the confluence of performance writing, community-based practices and digital art and game design. She has a PhD in games influenced theatre and theatre influenced games.<\/p>\n<h2>Ross Sutherland<\/h2>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.pennedinthemargins.co.uk\/wp-content\/themes\/classic\/sutherland_sm.jpg\" align=\"right\" border=\"0\" style=\"border:1px; margin-left:10px;\" width=\"200\" height=\"150\"><br \/>\nRoss Sutherland is a poet and performer. He has four collections of poetry published by Penned in the Margins and a documentary on poetry-writing computers called Every Rendition on a Broken Machine.
