Fair Field<\/a> is a major new project bringing the medieval ‘poem of crisis’ Piers Plowman to life for modern audiences. The production is composed collaboratively by a writing team including Annette Brook, Breach Theatre, Steve Ely, Nick Field, Francesca Millican-Slater, Ross Sutherland and Tom Chivers, with live music by the Society of Strange and Ancient Instruments. Co-directors Tom Chivers\/Russell Bender. Each tour location comprises five moments performed across two days.<\/p>\n Performances will be in Ledbury (Herefordshire), outdoors in the Malvern Hills and London, with a video of the production released online for free in the Autumn.<\/p>\n Workshop days – 5-7 June (attendance at all dates preferred but not essential)<\/strong> The fee is \u00a31,280<\/strong> not including the three workshop days, which are an additional \u00a380pd. Rehearsals are in east London. Travel and accommodation is covered for the Ledbury performances only.<\/p>\n We are specifically seeking a female actor of colour (Black British\/African\/Carribean or Mixed Race) for this role. We are keen to consider actors with devising or improvising experience who is comfortable multi-rolling. Your characters will include 4 roles from the following: Holy Church, Conscience, Lady Mede, Avarice, Pride, Priest of Truth, Lucifer.
